I was there for a week, between Christmas and New Year's, but due to snow conditions went skiing only twice. The slopes are very small, but if you live in Portugal and you're absolute beginner I suppose it is a nice place to start skiing, not far from home (since this is the only place where you can ski in real snow in the whole country). What is bad is that the prices you pay for the forfaits are exorbitant considering the size of the skiable area and, worst still, there are people lounging around, building snowmen and taking photos in the middle of some of the pistes. Also, for those who need it, the equipment for hire at the resort is in a shameful condition. There was no kids park that I could see, but then the whole resort is small enough that you don't really lose your kids. Parking was a nightmare, but it could be due to the festive season (lots more people there, maybe). I hope all the people prancing about on the slopes were there because it was New Year's day and that it usually doesn't happen, but the fact remains that I paid full fare for the run of three pistes (there wasn't that much snow) and even those were partially blocked by photo-op families.
The only one in Portugal
Very small, people (non-skiers) on the slopes, expensive

I use to come here about 1 or 2 times a year. Nice and friendly place. Close to Covilhã. Take A23, exit nr. 30 or 31, enter Covilhã and follow N339... to Torre.
Not too cold; good food, shopping...
Difficult to park at times
