Aramón: Ski Five Resorts In The Pyrénées

What used to be five separate resorts in the central Pyrénées and southern Aragon in Spain, are now flying high as a joint venture between the Aragon government and Ibercaja Bank. That means you can count on the same level of service and quality at all five of the ski centers.

Aramón has something for everyone in its resorts of Formigal, Cerler, Panticosa, Javalambre and Valdelinares, and is wonderful in the summertime, too. The facilities at each of the resorts continue to undergo modernization, improvements, and expansions, but they are striving to keep up the delicate balance of when enough is enough.

The region is located in about the center of the Pyrénées Mountains, eight km from the French border. Formigal shares the same valley with Panticosa ski resort. The surrounding region of El Serrablo has pre-Romanesque sites, Mozarab, and Catalán-Lombard churches.

There's plenty of ski terrain and lifts with Fomigal, for example, offering 137 km of groomed slopes with 90 pistes for varying ski and snowboard abilities. Panticosa has 10 km of slopes with seven lifts. Closest provincial city to the region is Huesca at 89 km; Zaragoza is 162 km; Pamplona is 182 km away.
