Overall great resort with runs everyone will enjoy. And great amount of piste for the day. Easy have map run nearby aswell if you want to change the slopes up. Hopefully more snow next year in December!
Great piste for everyone and nicely wide so enough space.
In the afternoon the terrain gets very icy as the sun goes behind the mountain, and moguls start appearing on the narrow terrain.

Lovely mountain areas and great skiing. Restaurants and Bars outstanding. Book a day at the Hohen Spa after a day of skiing.
Love the Kaprun - Zell Am See ski area

Been to Zell many times and I have to say I still love the place. The development in the aprés ski scene has been great. The newly opened OFF PISTE BAR does live music every day and they have re-introduced the legendary aprés ski to Zell am See. The entertainment is great, the prices good in the bar and the staff are professional and friendly. I can really recommend this place if you ever go to Zell. They are open from 4 PM every day in the winter.
Great mountain, great aprés ski
Not so much for expert skiers

just such a beautiful place, magical, great ski/boarding, good restaurants on the mountain and in town. you must come here ♡♥♡
fantastic friendly resort with good night life and great restaurants good skiing, go to the bars around the station area they are good value and real austrian. the main bar at the top of the mountain is great for music but very expensive for drink. the summer season is as good as the winter and it is stunning to look at . this the best all round resort in austria!
great cruising runs
not enough blacks

Zell is an amazing place. The overall ski experience is great. It is a perfect combination of decent skiing and decent nightlife. The bars on the mountain are the best. The skiing is decent and the scenery is amazing. Was there in Jan 2008 & the snow was good. We got about 8in while we were there. By the end of the day the runs get chopped up a bit making it difficult for beginners. The black runs end up being easier at that point. But it's a great mountain. Zell is a charming town with a good nightlife. It's not over the top, so not really a place for 18-24yr old crowd. A bit more mature crowd, but one that likes to party nonetheless!

No direct flights from U.S. to Salzburg
been here 5 times and love the place, we have taken lots of friends who have loved it here too. not fantastic for the serious skier but great for blues and red cruisers. The town is lovely with some great views and lovely cafes. The glacier although 40 minutes to get there is very well worth the trip providing its clear. All of the mountain resturants are great and the town has some great nghtlife too. we will never get bored of this resort.
fantastic place
not many black runs
Went to Zell week of 8th March. Had a fantastic week's skiing. The resort was great, although was quiet in the evenings- as many reviews say. Stayed at the Stadt Wien hotel- what a great place- a short walk from city express- the staff were extreamly helpful. Lifts etc were all well organised and resturants on the run's were very good and cheaper then France- the one at the top of the city express- although you have to wait that bit longer the food is fresh and cooked to order. The town has many great cafe's- a must if you like cake and strudle! Cannot wait to book for next next year and highly recomend the resort for all levels of skiers!
just back from zell stayed in the romantik hotel beatiful with lovely staff sking in zell is good though runs got icy towards end of week for first timers great resort if you are going to kaprun make sure its a nice day its a good bit further than you would think i would reccomend to pay the extra 12 euro and upgrade your pass to cover the ski circus in saalbach what aplace best sking day ever great apreski only took 50 mins from zell to get to top of mountain quicker than going to kaprun mar 10 2008
Six of us made our first visit to Zell the first week in February. We have previously been in St Johann (tirol) for many seasons before that. We found it to be a lovely town, our hotel, Feinschmeck was very comfortable, very centrally located (5 mins walk to city express) the adjoining restaurant was very good but a bit on the pricy side. Most of the restaurants are italian or austrian and are good value. The skiing was excellant, there is a huge amount of piste for all levels. We found it disappointing that the apres ski started much later, we were used to coming off the mountain and into a packed pub! this is not the case here, however come 7.30/8.00 many places were warming up with bands in Crazy Daisys, mem bar and Flanagans and later Deaili/greens and a niteclub was for the young and young at heart - dancing on the chairs/stage optional!! Ski school & huge ski hire shop beside the city express. We got private lessons and the instructors were excellant. The only runs down to the village are black, the lifts are very good quality and plenty of nice heated chairlifts at the top. The views are spectacular and we didnt get time to go to Kaprun which is the glazier but i believe its lovely over there but a good bit colder and windy with changing conditions. We will definately be going back.
