2016/2017 Scott The Ski ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category.

“Remarkably smooth edge to edge,” says Rice of Scott’s The Ski, which features Scott’s 3Dimension sidecut, meaning multiple radii—specifically a tip and tail radius designed for maneuverability and a larger turn radius underfoot. The waist width varies between 91 mm and 93 mm, according to the lengths (there are three length offerings between 175 cm and 185 cm). The Ski also has progressive tip rocker, sandwich sidewall construction in an elliptical shape and a full-length wood core. Testers gave it high scores for carving, lower for float. “It’s a Sun Valley super ski,” says Cole, alluding to Scott’s heritage. “Don’t expect to smear off-piste, expect a stable ski that loves big, beautiful GS turns.”
