2016/2017 Line Supernatural 86 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category.

The Supernatural 86 is the newest edition to the established Supernatural family, including the 115-mm-waisted powder ski and the redesigned Supernatural 92. “This Line has a traditional feel and likes to stay in the fall line,” observes Cole. Built as a “slimmer” all-mountain ski, the 86-mm-waisted ski received its highest tester scores for float, lowest for stability. Construction includes Line’s Maple Macroblock core, made with two full-length maple stringers surrounded by aspen. Other design elements include Directional Flex, with a soft tip and stiffer tail, and Line's Fivecut Geometry—five radii shapes blended into the sidecut. “The tail feels too stiff to encourage messing around off-piste,” says Rice. “Though fairly stiff, it can make a wide rage of turn shapes on the frontside.”
