2016/2017 Atomic Vantage 95 C ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category.

“Fun, fast, easy ski to turn,” says Hill of the Vantage 95 C. Atomic’s Vantage series has benefited from new technology each year starting with the ski-length titanium Backbone-shaped insert, followed by a layer of woven carbon called Carbon Tank Mesh—both technologies designed to make the ski lighter and stronger. Other specs for this year’s model include an ash/poplar wood core, Atomic’s vibration-reducing full sidewalls called Firewall as well as tip and tail rocker. Testers gave the 95-mm-waisted ski high marks for playfulness, lowest for carve. “Don’t expect race-ski feel,” says Jakob. “The big soft tip can bounce, but the ski is playful and can carve and skid on command.”
