2016/2017 Armada Invictus 89 Ti ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category and awarded it an Editors’ Choice honor.

“The tip profile is perfect for off-piste and soft landings,” says Cole. “But this go-everywhere ski blows my mind with how well it arcs on groomers.” Armada’s Invictus line introduces two new skis (one at 99-mm underfoot the other 85-mm), with the existing 89 Ti right in between and positioned for hard snow, off-piste performance. Testers gave tie high grades for versatility and playfulness, lower for carving. Design specs include a top and bottom layer of Titanal, full sidewall construction and Armada’s Double Zone Core, made with lightweight wood and ski-length carbon fiber strips. Armada’s AR Nose rocker creates a rockered, blunt tip. “This ski crushed bumpy terrain and made it feel smooth,” says Witman. “It’s at once lively and controlled, suited for a wide variety of skiers.”
