Terrific place to perfect your style! Good runs for perfecting turns! Wish the hills were higher but grooming is great and staff is very friendly!
Great ski spot, no crowd
Busy weekends

Best family/kid friendly hill around. If you have little ones you want to introduce to skiing or snowboarding this is the place! It’s like a giant playground for kids. Totally safe, friendly and encouraging. I have no anxiety letting my little one take off on their own.

We love Pakenham!! It's great for my kids who are just learning and are taking lessons. As a parent I'm not worried that my kids won't have a good time. It's close enough to home that we can go up and have a few runs and come home if its too cold, or its raining. The snow school staff have been amazing with my kids the past 2 years, and I find all the staff overall to be nice and friendly and a receptive to criticism about how things can be improved. Apres Ski: I can't comment on apres ski since I've never really stuck around past 4pm. There is a licensed bar, and a bbq outside almost every weekend. Terrain Park: They seem to do well here, its small but I've taken a few of the jumps and they do what they are designed to do. All Mountain Terrain: not really a mountain.....it is what it is. Make the most of it and you will have a great time. If you expect Tremblant you will be very disappointed. The hill is small and not challenging beyond and intermediate skier (sorry Joanne - being honest) but I love Pakenham because my kids love Pakenham. My kids look forward to the weekends when we go up
family oriented
short runs, no challenge for a expert

Great place to ski, i read some reviews and take them with a grain of salt... Everyone has a bad day, you are a living in a fantasy land if you think that you don't, yes when you're in the service industry you need to try and stay upbeat, however before you rip someone apart for their behavior, look at your own and the situation, I have started skiing this year and found 90% of the staff very helpful and friendly and have no problem with telling people to take their family there...

Been skiing there with kids school groups and as a family. Only issue I have is with prices in cafeteria - for instance 2 hotdogs, 2 lg fries(shoestring frozen:() and 1 bottle of water for $21!!!! Crazy. Hotdogs and fries were luke warm, had been sitting under the heat lamp for awhile. Other visit had lunch for family of 5 - 2 burgers, 2 hotdogs, 1 western sandwich and 5 small fries, milk for everyone, and two treats (chocolate bar and one bag chips) total $53.00!!! Won't eat there again! Way too expensive for what you're given.
Nice size for families to all kids off on they're own
Prices in cafeteria

My 8 yr old son came to me crying at one point asking me to leave, I asked why and it turns out the lift operator was yelling at him because he fell off the rope to the bunny hill, the operator told him he has to walk as he is no good on the rope. I approached the operator to ask why he had yelled at my son to the point of tears and his response was that he had to yell at the kids for them to listen and that the line was huge and that he was stressed. Being in the service industry this behaviour is almost unheard of not to mention criminal as it would fall into the category of verbal abuse towards a child. I am disgusted with this ski hill and will never make the mistake of returning. Do yourself and your family a big favor and go to a much better ski hill across the river.
Close to the west end of Ottawa
Terrible staff, small hill, overpriced for product received.

Perfect for families and beginners! Feels safe, like a giant playground. I can even let the kids go off on their own and watch from the lounge. (Great selection of locals beers too! I'll have to come back without the kids)
Family friendly, gentle terrain, so close to Ottawa!
Not a destination for advanced skiers

Great hill for new skiers!

An easy drive from west end communities, this hill is small but friendly, well maintained and well run. Prices are reasonable, staff is great. Lots of beginner-friendly terrain, with a few places that would interest intermediate-level riders. Runs are short, but so are the lift lines most days, so you can get in lots of laps.
Snowmaking and grooming, reasonable cost, convenient access, friendly staff.
Short runs.
